Plastic fences on traffic islands

Plastic fences on traffic islands
Description: We all like trees and bushes on traffic islands, but wasting taxpayers' money on plastic fences is a very bad decision. Not to mention the environmental cost of producing these fences, and their visual impact. Somebody should explain their function, given that these traffic islands are surrounded by roads.
